Empowering the youth of the Cape Flats through sport
Cape Flats Sports Academy (CFSA) was founded in 2016 by Ashraf Allie and Abdul Maliek Cassiem to provide young people from disadvantaged communities with meaningful opportunities through structured sports programmes and life skills mentorship.
Based in the Cape Flats, a region often associated with poverty and hardship, our mission is to rewrite the narrative and create hope, pride and purpose through sport.
We focus on five core sports — Football, Cricket, Tennis, Swimming, and Rugby — but our goal extends far beyond physical fitness. Through sport, we instil discipline, build confidence, and open doors to global opportunities

As a registered NPO (195-425) and PBO (930063911), we offer a safe space for youth to train, learn and grow. Our diverse team of experienced volunteers and professionals provide high-quality coaching in Football, Cricket, Tennis, Swimming and Rugby. We believe that investing in youth means investing in the future of South Africa.

To serve and inspire our youth, creating sports ambassadors for our country. Using the transforming power of sport in young lives as a catalyst for social upliftment and economic empowerment.

To nurture our youth to be the best they can be — not only athletically but holistically. We aim to develop critical thinkers and future-ready individuals through professional coaching, life skills development and international exposure.
